Having an aptitude for aesthetics and antiquities with the benefit of a father who was born in 1870, Wilhelmina Lunt cultivated an antiquarian’s eye. Lifelong friendships with Jane and Richard Nylander of (then) SPNEA and Peter Benes (perhaps best known for his Dublin Seminars) were forged through mutual interests and respect. Her home was and is magical even having been included in decorative arts magazines. It was the same touch which elevated the Cushing House Museum throughout her 18 year tenure as curator.
