This Historic home
and land has been recently purchased by the Town of Lynnfield to be preserved. The Trustees have hired our firm to sell the
entire contents of the house,safe deposit boxes, carriage house and
barn. There will be something for
everyone to match your individual style and taste! Due to
the large quantities of items many
will be grouped together
and sold in large lots. It will take two days to liquidate the contents with devoted sessions throughout
both days.

Centre Farm is Lynnfield’s most well-known historic
property.
With over 5,000 sq feet of living space this home amassed
the personal collection of Dr. and
Mrs. Donovan. The auction will feature rare medical instruments and devices including items pertaining to Oliver Wendell
Holmes, Americana, primitives, rugs, porcelain collection, several
antique cars, horse drawn vehicle, furniture, glass, china, jewelry, coins,
Shaker rockers, American prints and paintings including oil on canvas Castle
Island, Boston Harbor, by S.T. Hodgdon, signed and dated 1862, Ship Mercury of
Boston, oriental carpets, crocks, signed Babe Ruth baseball, early child chairs
and toys, Wedgewood, Jasperware, Beleek, paper, stereo views, postcards, ephemera,
mission furniture, canes and walking sticks.
JEWELRY
COLLECTION WILL START AT APPROX 3:30 P.M. Wonderful selection of over 200 lots of estate jewelry. Found in the Safe Deposit Boxes are hundreds
of pieces of fine jewelry. Everything
from rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches, pins, diamonds, rubies, etc. Many antique
and period style pieces. The sale will
feature a 3.33 ct solitaire diamond ring (GIA certified) A RARE 18TH C WALNUT SECRETARY DESK Recently discovered on the Antiques Roadshow. Crafted by noted cabinet maker William Seay, North Carolina School. Sold through the antiques wing of The Boston Jordan Marsh department store during the 1970’s. Purchased by Dr. Donovan and his wife, the desk had been in the collection of Kenneth Roberts, a well-known author from Maine.
