Please join us for this online event where you will find over (150) lots belonging to a family which has been entrenched in the Marblehead community for generations.

Not only will you find items specific to "Old Marblehead" such as maps, sculptures, half hulls, objects belonging to the Bowditch family, yachting plaques and trophies, but you will also find pieces of Historic Americana and furnishings coveted by the family as well as the Essex Institute as we prepared for our nations' Bicentennial in 1976.

Auctioneer Note: Please be aware that parking will be a little difficult,

plan on having to walk a short distance to the preview and pick up.

Payment and Terms:  Payment is due upon receipt of invoice and will be charged to your credit card on file.  All sales are final, no credits or returns. All items are SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS. Bidders are strongly encouraged to ask any questions prior to bidding. Please refer to photos as part of the description. JMA will do its best to list any damage, repairs or restorations, the absence of these descriptions or conditions must not be taken to imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Remember you are purchasing antique or used items. Expect signs of wear consistent with age.

Special Pick up Instructions: Special Pick up Instructions: Curb side pick-up only.  Winning bidders must provide boxes and paper. Winning bidders are responsible for removal and loading of all items.  A representative will be there to assist, but the winning bidder must bring necessary assistance to remove large item and assumes any and all responsibility for any damage or injury that should take place once they are on the property.

Pick Up Address and Time: 119 Front St, Marblehead, MA 01945 Friday August 23rd 10:00am-4:00pm and Saturday August 24th  10:00am-12:00pm. There will be no additional help or packaging supplies, NO EXCEPTIONS, YOU MUST BE PREPARED.   ITEMS NOT PICKED UP DURING ALLOTTED TIME WILL BE CONSIDERED FORFEITED WITHOUT REFUND, NO EXCEPTIONS, UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE AUCTION HOUSE – LOCAL DELIVERY OF LARGE ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR A FEE. 

Shipping: PARCEL ROOM is available to quote on select item(s).  Please contact the auction manager listed above for details. We are not responsible for your purchase once you authorize release to shipper of your choice.  Local shipping of larger items (furniture) not suitable for mail can be made by emailing our gallery. 

TRANSPORT (ALTERNATIVE PICK UP MUST CALL AUCTION MANAGER): As a special service for the convenience of our valued customers:  Anyone who would like to pick up their purchases in Amesbury, MA we will offer to transfer your purchases to our facility in Amesbury for a nominal fee starting at $25 per item to be capped at $100.00.  NOTE: EXCLUSIONS APPLY, LARGE OR UNUSUAL ITEMS/LOTS WILL BE ASSESSED A SEPARATE FEE FOR TRANSPORT. ANY ITEMS TRANSPORTED BACK TO THE GALLERY MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 10 DAYS OR THE ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED.
