Donald and Virginia Sohn married later in life and purchased this (10) acre Beverly Farms estate together in 1991 where they enjoyed entertaining and putting on large parties for family and friends. The main house, carriage house and (3) out buildings are surrounded by (10) acres of meticulously maintained garden and grounds were overseen by Viginia's thoughtful esthetic which her loving husband made possible.

Donald, a graduate of St. Lawrence University and Harvard Business School, was founder and president of Heritage Travel. He served as Trustee Emeritus of both St. Lawrence University and the Boston Conservatory. Virginia was a former missionary in the Phillipines and returned to the North Shore where she was an active member of the Myopia Hunt Club.

In this sale you will discover a large number of oriental rugs and furniture, decorative arts, silver and silver plate, crystal, fine estate jewelry, decorative and fine art, stamps and coins, garden orniments, and outdoor furniture.  A car and truck as well as garden and grounds maintaince equipement such as a commercial lawn mower, snow blower, generators as well as a woodworking shop will prove to make this an event with great variety.

Payment and Terms:  Payment is due upon receipt of invoice and will be charged to your credit card on file.  All sales are final, no credits or returns. All items are SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS. Bidders are strongly encouraged to ask any questions prior to bidding. Please refer to photos as part of the description. JMA will do its best to list any damage, repairs or restorations, the absence of these descriptions or conditions must not be taken to imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Remember you are purchasing antique or used items. Expect signs of wear consistent with age.

Special Pick up Instructions: Special Pick up Instructions: Curb side pick-up only.  Winning bidders must provide boxes and paper. Winning bidders are responsible for removal and loading of all items.  A representative will be there to assist, but the winning bidder must bring necessary assistance to remove large item and assumes any and all responsibility for any damage or injury that should take place once they are on the property.

1025 Hale St, Beverly, MA Friday, thru Sunday, Oct 4, 5 and 6th from 10-4pm.THERE WILL BE NO ADDITIONAL HELP OR PACKAGING SUPPLIES, NO EXCEPTIONS, YOU MUST BE PREPARED.   ITEMS NOT PICKED UP DURING ALLOTTED TIME WILL BE CONSIDERED FORFEITED WITHOUT REFUND, NO EXCEPTIONS, UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE AUCTION HOUSE – LOCAL DELIVERY OF LARGE ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR A FEE.

TRANSPORT (ALTERNATIVE PICK UP MUST CALL AUCTION MANAGER): As a special service for the convenience of our valued customers:  Anyone who would like to pick up their purchases in Amesbury, MA we will offer to transfer your purchases to our facility in Amesbury for a nominal fee starting at $25 per item to be capped at $100.00.  NOTE: EXCLUSIONS APPLY, LARGE OR UNUSUAL ITEMS/LOTS WILL BE ASSESSED A SEPARATE FEE FOR TRANSPORT. ANY ITEMS TRANSPORTED BACK TO THE GALLERY MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 10 DAYS OR THE ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED.
